What Kind Of Responses Can You Expect When You Tell People Jesus Loves You?

So, what kind of responses can you expect to receive when you begin going over to complete strangers to say “God bless you. Do you know that Jesus loves you?”

“I’m Not Religious”

One response will be “Sorry I'm not interested. I'm not religious.”

To that, you can respond and say, “No, I'm not religious either.”

At which point you will probably get a very surprised look. But then you can continue to say, “No no. Religious people sent Jesus to die on the cross. I'm not a religious person. I'm in a relationship with Jesus.”

“No This Isn’t For me”

Another response you can expect is someone saying “No, no, this isn't for me at all. No, this isn't for me.”

To that you can say “Faith is from within. Faith is personal. Faith isn't about going to church on a Sunday and then living in sin for the other six days of the week.”

“I Used To Go To Church When I Was Younger”

Another response you can expect to receive is “I used to go to church when I was younger, but when I started growing up, I just came away from it.”

To that you can respond to that “That is okay, because what you haven't had until now is an encounter with Jesus, where you've had your life changed and your heart changed.”

“No I just don’t believe in God”

Another response you can expect to get is “No, I just don't believe. I don't believe in God no.”

To that you can respond to say “Well he believes in you. He created you and He sustains your very existence.”

“At Least Someone Does”

Another response you can expect when you say to a complete stranger, “Do you know that Jesus loves you?” is “At least someone does.”

To that you can respond and say “God has brought me over to you into your life today. He wants you to know that you are chosen and not forsaken. You are so precious in his eyes. Jesus surrendered his life on the cross for you.”

“No He Doesn’t”

Another response when you tell a complete stranger “Do you know that Jesus loves you?” is “Oh no He doesn't no. He doesn't no.”

To that you can respond and say “He does! He loves you that much he surrendered his life on the cross for you! We have all sinned. We all fall short of the glory of God. There is none righteous, none at all. How can I judge anyone? How can we judge anyone? It doesn't matter what you've done. It doesn't matter what you've done at all.”

“This Isn’t For Me, But I Am Happy For You If It Helps You”.

Another response you can expect when you tell a complete stranger “God bless you. Do you know that Jesus loves you?” is “This just isn't for me, it isn't for me. But you know, I'm happy for you if that is what helps you”.

To that you can say “Oh yeah, no, thats absolutely fine. You know, you don't need to apologise or anything. I am just letting you know that God loves you, that He created you and that he sustains your very existence, and God just wants me to say to you now, that he doesn't want you hitting absolute rock bottom in your life for you to turn to Him for you to call out to Him, because it usually takes people like myself hitting absolute rock bottom for us to have the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

“I Am More Of A Spiritual Person”

Another response you can expect when you say, God bless you. Do you know that Jesus loves you?” is “I am more of a spiritual, a kind of spiritual person. I believe in something. I believe in something.”

To that you can respond and say “That is fantastic. To know that there is a spirit realm, to be a spiritual person, that is so important because most people they just don't know and don't comprehend and don't realise that there is a spirit realm. They just think purely from their flesh, and they just base their life on what they see, not in what they can't see. So for you to be spiritual is incredibly important, and believing in something out there, it is God! God who created all things. We did not evolve from an ape in Africa, and I can't make you believe. I can't change you. It is only Jesus. Jesus Christ has chosen you just like he has chosen me, and it will be futile for you to fight against God's will, and I don't know when its going to happen, but I do know that at some stage, you also will be given the revelation of Jesus Christ, and it will come from within and you will be changed forever. We have to remember, even Satan disguising himself as an angel of light.”

You Will Experience Divine Encounters

When evangelising, when speaking to members of the public, when going over to complete strangers to say “God bless you, do you know that Jesus loves you?” the Lord begins to open up divine encounters, where as you begin to share a little bit of your testimony, you will find that who the Lord has brought you into the life of, they are not only relating to what you are saying, but they are experiencing some of the things that you have experienced in your life before Jesus Christ set you free.

That Voice In Our Heads

One of the most significant ways to engage someone who doesn't have faith, who doesn't believe, maybe a very strong, staunch atheist, is when we SPEAK ABOUT THAT VOICE IN OUR HEAD, BECAUSE EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THAT VOICE IN THEIR HEAD, THAT DARK DESTRUCTIVE VOICE, so whenever we bring that up, you begin to engage and connect with that person. Then you can share just as I share, that I battled with that voice, for however long you battled with that voice. For me, it was through my 20s and 30s, and you can say that, “That battle is a battle that we cannot win on our own strength.” and you can say “That voice, which I never knew through my 20s and 30s, that voice is the enemy. It is the devil Satan. That dark destructive voice the father of lies, and we can only overcome that voice, we can only win that battle through FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST and through prayer, and through TRUSTING IN THE WORD OF GOD.

Mental Health

Mental health, poor mental health, battling with that voice in our head, THIS IS SUCH A CRUCIAL WAY TO ENGAGE NON BELIEVERS AND ATHEISTS and people that are wandering, people that are questioning, BECAUSE IT IS LIFE.

IT IS LIFE. IT IS A REALITY OF LIFE. IT IS A REALITY. THAT BATTLE IS SO REAL, and the revelatory truth is that there is only Jesus, the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that can silence that voice, for we resist the devil and he flees from us.

The Holy Spirit Speaks Through Us

What we have to remember when we are evangelising, when we are willing to go and talk to complete strangers about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, it is the Holy Spirit within us that will give us the words to say. It will be the Holy Spirit that will bring to remembrance parts of our story, parts of our testimony, that the Lord knows is going to engage with and bring a connection to who we are speaking to.

WE DON’T NEED TO KNOW THE WHOLE GOSPEL.

WE DON’T NEED TO STUDY THEOLOGY.

WE DON’T NEED TO BE A BIBLE SCHOLAR.

WE DON’T NEED TO BE SOMEONE WITH A POSITION OR A TITLE WITHIN THE CHURCH.

This Is About Life

No, this is about life.

This is about TALKING WITH OTHER HUMAN BEINGS that God created, that God loves, talking to them about your life experiences, of going from living in darkness to living in the light of Jesus Christ.

When You Begin To Evangelise

When you begin to evangelise, when you begin to step outside your comfort zone, when you begin to speak to complete strangers about your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, you are beginning to be the hands and feet of Jesus, you will begin to experience glorious encounters, where you begin to comprehend that GOD HAS CHOSEN YOU to go into that person's life, when they were at a place of absolute helplessness or hopelessness, having had a marital breakdown, having lost a loved one, having lost their job, battling with their mental health, being on the verge of suicide, not being able to cope, being overwhelmed, questioning their life, living with deep unforgiveness - YOU HAVE BEEN THE ONE THAT GOD HAS CALLED, THAT GOD HAS CHOSEN to go into their life, to shine light on that particular day into their darkness. For them to experience a touch of heaven. For them to have a divine miracle encounter from God, something that they were not expecting, but that God planned and ordained to send you into their life on that particular day, at that particular location, at that particular moment, and I give God all the glory, all the praise and all the honour for every single disciple, every single man and woman and child that God is raising up across the earth, to truly be the hands and feet of Jesus.
